Why the name A Different Daisy?

When I decided to start this business I thought for weeks about what to call it. During the day, I work with my mother at her florist and gift shop. One day the two-color daisy (pictured on my logo) came in with a bunch of white daisies. I was instantly drawn to it. I separated it from the rest and took it home with me. This flower was so unique and so special. It stood out from the rest, just like the customers I would be serving. People who choose a cruelty-free lifestyle have separated themselves from the rest of the world. They promote kinder more humane alternatives and, in turn, they are respecting all of creation. Every day, they choose compassion over cruelty. The flower symbolizes the difference, the uniqueness, the respect for all living beings.


Why should you buy from me ?

[1) I DO all that I can to help animals and the environment, by giving to animal causes and environmental organizations.

2) I never turn down an animal in need. As soon as I find an injured, abandoned or neglected animal I take action. Every animal I take in visits a veterinarian immediately. I keep them or find a suitable home, and by suitable I mean superb! It is rare for me to have fewer than 30 animals in my care at a time.

3 )I want to promote a cruelty-free lifestyle, if you can't get it from me, contact me and I will do my best to point you to a source where you can find it.

4) My goal is to make vegan, cruelty-free shopping affordable and easy for everyone. That's why I've chosen to keep this business small, with little overhead, to bring you great prices. You may not get your order as fast from me as you would from larger companies, but I hope to provide the best prices and customer service around!

5) Finally, I operate this business because I love it! This is my second job and I do it for only one reason: To promote compassion and eco-friendly choices.


My Journey to Veganism

When I was a young girl, I spent the majority of my time with animals. They were my closest friends. I grew up with so many 'pets' and had such a love for them. It wasn't until I graduated high school that I realized exactly what had to happen in order for meat to become dinner. I guess I knew what happened, but it never actually struck me. It was a huge awakening for me when I realized that I didn't have to eat meat and that I didn't have to eat dairy or eggs. Not long after that, I discovered the horrors of animal testing and factory farming. I was disgusted with myself! Why hadn't I realized this sooner? Now, I live my life as cruelty-free as possible and do my best to promote kindness. I am much happier and healthier because of this lifestyle change.

ORDERING INFORMATION

Please read all the information below before placing an order!


Shipping Charges

A Shipping Fee of $5.95 will be added to orders within the U.S. Orders outside the U.S. are not being accepted at this time.
I am now shipping with UPS. If you need delivery to an APO address or PO Box, I can ship via the USPS. This will be done only two days a week and actual shipping will be added.

Warm Weather Shipments- During warmer times of the year or to warmer climates, candy, chocolates and certain cosmetics may melt. When this is possible, you are ordering these items at your own risk. I will not be held resposible for melted merchandise.


Credit Card Orders

When filling in your "BILL TO" Address, be sure that you give me the address where your credit card bill is sent. If you are unsure, you can find out by looking at a previous statement. Your credit card may be declined if I do not have the correct address and this will delay shipment of your order.


Checks and Money Orders

If you would prefer to pay with a check or money order, please select 'check or money order' as your method of payment. Then, mail payment to:

If you are paying with a CHECK, the order will be held for 10 business days (Monday through Friday) before it is shipped. Please allow for this delay.


Delivery Time

Vegan Goods/DifferentDaisy.com is ran by a single individual. I do my best to ship orders as quickly as possible. All in-stock merchandise should leave within 3-7 business days (Monday through Friday). Items that are out-of-stock may not always be marked as out-of-stock on the website. If for some reason, the item you want is out-of-stock and it is available through one of my distributors, I will try to get it in for you, which takes two to six business days. You will not be notified of the delay. If it is not available, I will notify you ASAP and see if you want to cancel the order or make changes.

U.S. Shipment Only. I do not ship outside the United States and do not accept credit card orders in which the address of the cardholder is outside the united states.


APO addresses

Packages addresses to APO addresses will be insured for their full value, but the post office only insures them to the APO address. If you must have delivery to an APO address, you are ordering at YOUR own risk. I will not be responsible for lost or damaged packages as the post office will not guarantee their secure delivery. Also, APO orders may be delayed when sent via standard shipping. You may wish to pay additional charges for priority delivery if your package weighs over 1 pound.


Undeliverable Packages

If your package is not delivered to you or is returned because you typed the address incorrectly or were not home and it is returned to me, you will be charged the original shipping fee plus the fee for the second shipment. If actual shipping is greater than that of the standard shipping policy, you will be charged actual shipping for the first and the second delivery attempt.


Privacy Policy

At Vegan Goods/DifferentDaisy.com your privacy is respected. Your information will not be sold or shared with any other party. The only exception is when you are ordering merchandise from vendors like Herbivore Clothing Co. and your information must be passed on for order fulfillment. Credit card information stays with me!


Return Policy

IMPORTANT: Returns will result in a store credit not a refund. Returns made without prior authorization via email or phone will not be accepted. You will be given a Return Authorization Number to be written on the outside of the shipment. Orders returned without this number will not be processed.

You may return most UNUSED items within 30 days of receipt with prior authorization. Please email differentdaisy@yahoo.com or call (740) 820-3146 for return approval. Some items may not be returnable. Please ask before ordering if this is a concern. Items which have been opened or used may not be returned unless they are defective in some way. Shipping fees are non-refundable.

Shoe Return Policy: Shoes MUST be tried on with socks, indoors on carpet to qualify for a refund or return. Tags should remain on the shoes and they must be returned in the box they came in
